Reflections

“Welcome,

Thanks for stopping by! When I think of the time I was able to be in the community and be of service to children, their families and people of all walks of life, my heart is overwhelmed with joy.

Even without me fully understanding at the time, God allowed me to live within my purpose. Throughout my entire adult life, I have held a number of positions of service and although I know there were some hard times or low moments, for the most part it was nothing but love. Love for what I did and the love that came back in return.  Also enclosed you will see I have a written a book about my tremendous experience: “50 Years of Love”.  In the process of writing it, I enjoyed reliving all those great years.

In this website, I hope you will see the benefits and rewards that come from thinking of others. I am excited to share with you the wide variety of people God has allowed me to interact with and build relationships with over the years. You will see those relationships ranged from everyday people on the community level, to meeting with Vice President Joe Biden on several occasions. From providing opportunities for very young boys and girls with their first lessons in the game of basketball to sharing a few special times with Julius “Dr. J” Ervin, NBA basketball legend. From consoling young mothers trying to raise their children on her own, to being able to meet former First Lady, Michelle Obama. And from providing summer activities for neighborhood children to having one of those children become a principal of an elementary school.

This website was designed just for you!  I wanted to share with you the wonderful time I had for so many years enjoying the relationships I made. And, I wanted to show you how important it is and how fulfilling it would be for some of you to carry the torch further.

Today’s young people need intervention from well meaning, caring adults more than ever before.  I want you to see that to make a tremendous impact on a young person’s life, you only need to care and be consistent.

Enjoy your time visiting this website and if you would like for me to come speak to your group or college or civic association, I would be honored to do so!

Perhaps I will see you soon.”
